So Duyba has come as close as he dare to admitting he was responsible for the failures of his administration and the FEMA fiasco. He has been made aware by the American people that the Federal governments shoddy behavior toward the citizens of America it has been charged to protect is not acceptable. In fact, all the the neoRepublicans got a good clonk on the head from Hurricane Katrina that reminded them "Oh yea, THAT's why we are supposed to fund "social programs" to take care of our people....". At one time, most people thought of FEMA as something good - much like the National Guard and Red Cross-as something Americans could count on in times of trouble. In a natural disaster, they were as Granny says "in like Flynn" to take care of the victims. Of course, Prissy is certain constituents have been reminding them why they exist. Dubya's bombed out on his approval ratings-but Congress is at least 3 points less than his 38%, quoted by several msm papers...he has sucked the joy out of what it was to be an American.

Why is Blackwater USA, the principal mercenary force outsourced by the Pentagon to fight in Iraq, now patrolling the streets of New Orleans?

Why have reconstruction and clean-up contracts conveniently fallen, with perfect timing, to Halliburton and Bechtel, the two U.S. corporations most infamous for their expertise in rebuilding Iraq and worldwide whatever the U.S. military has blown up?

In order to begin answering the endless disturbing questions, we must understand what FEMA actually is. In Sheila Samples' excellent September 10 article (http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig5/samples7.html), she emphasizes the origins of FEMA in the 1980s under its architect, Oliver North. North's Operation Rex 84, or Readiness Exercise 1984, was a plan by which the the federal government would accommodate the detention of large numbers of American citizens during times of emergency.

Through Rex-84 an undisclosed number of concentration camps were set in operation throughout the United States, for internment of dissidents and others potentially harmful to the state. Existence of the Rex 84 plan was first revealed during the Iran-Contra Hearings in 1987, and subsequently reported by the Miami Herald on July 5, 1987. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84)

traprockpeace.org/scott_ritter_challenge.html Scott Ritter Challenges the Peace Movement-David Dashefsky and Sunny Miller discuss his comments and the movement

"The peace movement failed, and all you have to do is look at the fact that we're at war in Iraq today to understand the depth and the magnitude of that failure. The peace movement, for all of its good intentions, did not succeed. It didn't even come close to succeeding."

"The best thing that the peace movement could do is support a strong military. And again. You use the logic I put forward. You support a strong military because you want to create something that can never be used. Never be used. But if you support a strong military you've already nullified the argument that the right wing uses against the peace movement."

Peace through Strength...what a concept. Not a new idea, but the only one proven to work and it's safe and effective most of the time. Unfortunately every now and then we get these radicals in office who think they can construct-as they cannot create- a "reality" in which the rest of us will buy into. But those who thrive on power and control as a basis for their being; never comprehend until it's too late that there are some things which they shall never hold in their grasp....

For as they are finding, attempts to smother Americans Freedoms, will be like grabbing at handfuls of Jello gelatin. Sure, they will get some, but mostly they will just make a big mess.....

Say what you want to about Americans; we are spoiled (some are) ill mannered (some, yes) but Prissy believes you will find here what you would find anywhere. Nice people and mean people. There are people in the world that would stop what they are doing if they say you needed help. There are also people who would pretend they do not see you. I think we know which category one finds this administration. Has nothing to do with religion, color or creed.

Dubya does not understand yet, that anyone can be mean who chooses that route-kindness requires a strength neoRepublicans do not possess. Prissy guess that's why they are such bullies; they think it is okay to loot this country in order to get what they want..Yet they fancy themselves better than the street kids Prissy used to attend to in the prisons, because they loot wearing a suit....Most of the kids Prissy dealt with did not wish to harm others, nor be harmed. These suits care only that no harm come to them.

Remember the Star Trek episode when the Spock and Captain Kirk found out the evil spirit of the infamous Englishman, "Jack-the-Ripper" jumps from one world, one galaxy, one man to the next? Will a 21st Century Spock and Captain Kirk-perhaps Al Gore and George Galloway be able to save the day? Who will be the next American hero for the history books? Prissy isn't sure....but she knows who it will not be.

Prissyball lovers, check out the Patriot store- give them to politicians. Also for defiant government employees. They had a flag pin, now you've got Prissyballs... patriotstore.blogspot.com/

More tommorrow.......
