Politicians; Why Should We Trust Them With Our Country?

Just what have politicians done for this country lately? Protected the Homeland? Brought credibility back to the Senate? Allowed the US to regain her standing in the world? No, they haven't done any of these things.

But they are doing something.....They are working very hard to crush dissent.

Oh Prissy, don't be so paranoid you say, this is America. Yes it is America, why do you think Prissy is bothering to put up an argument while she still can? It is dissent, I tell you.

Look at the means they used to silence people they previously held in high esteem from Sunday's article...

Think of the advantages to them....No one would complain about Coingate, the rape of the environment and civil rights, Rove/Plame, the Patriot Act, the deficit, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid and the inept way the War on Terror is being waged. The United States would not be the first country in the world to incarcerate a million or so citizens for political dissent, it would however, be the first who does it and still tells the world it is a Democracy.

While they may not lock up Prissy for dissing Dubya, in their own words they are willing to keep a file on her disses. Should they take their ideology to their extreme and lock up Prissy for dissing Dubya, the whole place will be a hoot....Because David Letterman, Jay Leno, Bill Maher and lot's of other fun folks...they will all be there!

If dissent is stomped out, especially in a "time of war" -there will be no one who can complain about the misuse of soldiers in Iraq either, least of all the soldiers.
