Lest We Forget Why America is in Iraq

UPDATE: Cheney aide leaves country as leak investigation wraps up... developing...on rawstory.com (See Constant's Pations- search blog for "flight risk") Another interesting take on this developing situation from National Journal, a conservative publication- Libby Did Not Tell Grand Jury About Key Conversation-Legal analysis bottom of article. nationaljournal.com/about/njweekly/stories/2005/1011nj1.htm

Dubya declared the United States must invade Iraq and topple Saddam so he would not use his WMD against others. Dubya pointed at Saddam, jumping up and down yelling "He's got'em! I just know it. See, it's him!" Dubya, still employing the bully tactics he learned in grade school, told the world what a horrific threat Saddam posed with his WMD.

Obviously that is not the case. It is appalling to think, for our soldiers sakes, that many Americans still believe there is a Saddam/911 link. Granted, Saddam is a bad guy- but who was the real threat to America? Is it Osama? Or is it an incompetent administration?

Why is this country recommending (which taught Prissy about the American system of justice-however imperfect it was supposed to be the best in the world)going to execute Saddam without completing all of his trials?

Don't they get it? The jailing, the laundry list of crimes, the convictions, the sentence to be presented in front of the entire world...that is all part of his punishment. Why on earth give him the easy way out? Since when is that the recommendation of American justice? Execution comes after all the trials have been completed and sentences imposed....maybe Prissy just dreamed there was a justice system.

Or could someone else's dirty laundry come up if given enough time? This is another reason cowards , crazies and greedy you-know-what's, need to stay out of government. For heavens sake, they'll eat their own and yours too- and come around looking for more......there is no honor amongst thieves.

Excerpt:NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York called off a high alert for the city's subways on Monday after detainees in Iraq thought to be plotting to bomb the nation's biggest transit system indicated the threat lacked credibility. (bold PP)

The scaling back of security came as the attack date cited in a federal warning -- Sunday, October 9 -- passed without incident.

You don't say...like the little boy who cried wolf. Tell Prissy why New York wants Bloomberg who expects to win a second term, when they have the chance to escape him....(google search at top of page to read more about Bloomberg and his brand of politics)

rense.com/general67/acus.htmRense Exclusive-T Is For Traitor NeoCons, Meet Your Accusers By Douglas Herman

Excerpt:Charley Reese and Paul Craig Roberts are just a couple of aging, American conservatives and syndicated columnists. Same for David Ray Griffin, a theologian and author. Same for decorated veterans, Craig Roberts and Stan Goff. Same for Cindy Sheehan and Sibel Edmunds and Colleen Rowley, just a handful of hardworking women with huge consciences.

What do these fine men and women, conservatives all, have in common? They are the conscience of the country at the moment. They are the most vocal opponents to the Neocon, New World Order plot, the bravest critics of the treason that the plotters in power inflict on America. And not afraid to say so in so many words

The above are modern day American heroes in Prissy's book...

editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001263321 Editor and Publisher-Local Christian Coalition Official Did Molest, Family Members Tell 'The Oregonian'

Two told reporters that Beres, indeed, had molested them. All three said they have been interviewed for several hours by detectives. "I was molested," said one of the women, now in her early 50s. "I was victimized, and I've suffered all my life for it. I'm still afraid to be in the same room with [Beres]." The coalition led by Beres, 70, champions socially conservative candidates and causes. Its Web site describes the group as "Oregon's leading grassroots organization defending our Godly heritage." The group opposes abortion, gay rights, and stem cell research. It is affiliated with the national Christian Coalition, which was founded in 1989 by television evangelist Pat Robertson.

And more...

Beres is also former chairman of the Multnomah County Republican Party.

This is why Prissy thinks studies should be done on evangelical extremists-please do not call them Christians....this isn't the first case she has heard of "extremely religious family men" doing such horrors to children. Prissy says there appears to be a strong correlation of deviant sexual behaviors within religious extremists. Very odd, the Bible they claim to adhere to strictly prohibits such a thing...

Excerpt:Columnist Robert Novak, the first to reveal Ms. Plame's name and status, said he had two government sources.

So what courses are open to Prosecutor Fitzgerald? Indictment under the 1982 Intelligence Identities Protection Act - if it can be established that unmasking Ms. Plame was a deliberate act. Short of that, there could be an indictment for conspiracy, which is defined as acting toward a criminal end, such as leaking security information.

How high could indictments go? Despite earlier denials of involvement, it is now clear that presidential assistant Karl Rove and vice- presidential chief of staff Lewis Libby had some role in inviting reporters to dig further.

Could this go higher? The prosecutor interviewed President Bush and Vice President Cheney at some length. It is not publicly known if they are implicated.

It may be remembered that the Watergate grand jury wanted to indict President Nixon for obstruction of justice. When advised that a sitting president could not be prosecuted, the grand jury named him as an unindicted coconspirator.

Prissy sees the MSM is still being coy with this one-if you really want to know what could happen read citizen spooks "Treasongate"- previous post.

Information about what is going on in the oil industry. Read this and you can guess with a high degree of accuracy, what the politicians will do next... oilcast.com/

Al Gore TV- current.tv/ Prissy cannot explain exactly what is going on with Al TV. The website is confusing...Al is a really smart guy. It is hard to say where America might be if Al had been elected. Bubba was a liability to him, unfortunately. Al really did assist in getting the internet going!

Typical Washington Post....this rather important article is buried in the center of the page.Fighting Fox washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2005/10/10/BL2005101000310_3.html

Excerpt:Shuster, who left Fox in early 2002, says it was fine for him to report aggressively on President Clinton but that the nework was not interested in tough coverage of President Bush. Shuster told Mike Leonard of the Bloomington, Ind., Herald Times: "I found some reporters at Fox would cut corners or steal information from other sources or in some cases, just make things up. Management would either look the other way or just wouldn't care to take a closer look."

Fox will change or die-their choice. Their numbers show people know it really is "Faux News"...It is a shame they would prefer to lose viewers instead of telling the truth. Granny says they are "cutting off their nose to spite their face". And One More.....

news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article318609.ece UK Independent- Basra voters say it is time for soldiers to go

Excerpt: "I felt proud that the Iraqi police had arrested the British soldiers, it is our country and our laws should be obeyed", said Zainab.

Her colleague Fatima added: "I do not like seeing foreign soldiers on our streets, they should go."

What is surprising about these views in Basra is that they came from two educated, middle class women speaking fluent English who have frequent contact with the British and have little sympathy for the Shia militia who have infiltrated the Iraqi police.

Is there any doubt (besides the shooting) most Iraqis wish the Brits and Yanks would leave? The LA Times today ran an OpEd called "Peace is not the answer" by William Shawcross. This is an uniformed hawks last ditch attempts to shame the peace movement. Try again, as the hawks own all the shame regarding the invasion of Iraq....that's why this is an opinion and not considered news...Prissy doesn't have time to refute the "facts" he recites like "talking points" from his neoRepublican notebook....

They always forget the people of Iraq had water, electricity and could walk the streets before-these are things which make peoples lives easier...as one Iraqi told Prissy "The streets were safe. We just couldn't talk bad about Saddam without repercussions" .

Indeed, many Americans know the penalty for dissent against a corrupt administration-because now it happens in America.

Prissy's Quotes of the Day

"Compared with the BBC's studied neutrality, Fox comes across as a kind of Gong Show of propaganda." - Russ Baker, in The Nation

"John Kerry had enough conviction to sign up for the military during wartime, unlike the vice president, who had a deep conviction to avoid military service" - Sen. Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey responding to Cheneys' attacks on Kerry.

"I would kill George Bush" - Kirsten Dunst, if she was Spiderman for a day

"I have been nonpolitical for 30 years, but I am disturbed these days, I would give my life to prevent another Vietnam War from affecting our youth, but here it happened again. My values are better represented by the Democrats today." - Steve Wozniak - Apple Computer co-founder(The apple on the tank is a spoof)

Prissy is right there with you! Now, if the Democrats will stand up-they spent too much time standing down...

Prissy,

You have my permission to go with this exclusive. You may recall reading this.

I am the author. I wanted my words to speak for themselves; I didn't want to identify myself and distract attention from the message.

Thank you for being the only one in the world who was faithful to what I was writing, and believing in what I was saying.

You have been a source of great comfort these many months.

God Bless,

Readers, we are fortunate to have a patriot like Constant-he has been a great source of inspiration to the Prissy Patriot and many others.

I think a member of the 82nd Airborne put it best when he wrote "Constant, you consistently ROCK!"

Big Hug to Constant,
