More Camp Casey Photo's

At the conclusion of 1965, the total number of U.S. deaths in Vietnam was 1,863. Today (Sunday) the death toll in Iraq is 1,877. Anymore questions as to why this war should not end NOW?

I gotta call bull crap on one of the photos there. More specifically, this one. The president didn't lie once; he was misinformed by the people in office at the CIA, FBI, and various military organizations that gave the intellegence, none of which are even elected, but rather appointed by whoever is in charge when they are hired. Many of these people were hired during that eight year atrocity known as the Clinton administration.
Secondly, any US soldier in Iraq signed up to be there. The US military is entirely volunteer based, meaning that every last fallen soldier agreed to fight in any war that the United States finds itself in. The president is not at fault for calling them on their promise. You can't make a promise and not keep it.
Lastly, I present the situation in Iraq. It seems many people forgot that we removed their government, and that includes their military. Consequently, it's going to be a heck of a long time before they can rebuild enough to keep them from being slaughtered by their enemy neighbors like Iran, Turkey, Syria, etc. I mean, these guys are surrounded by enemies in every direction; they need one friggin' huge army if they are going to survive at all (even if you exclude the terrorist insugants that will attempt to claim Iraq if it's governmentless). And they need commanders over this army we're trying to build.
Whether Saddam had WMDs or not, Iraq's screwed the instant we live if they don't have a firm government. You can't just "end the war." It's important to have our soldiers there to keep the peace until peace can be kept on its own.

  2. Joseph,

You are wrong. He was not misinformed and yes he lied at LEAST once, when he told the Polish TV he had found the WMD.
The Washington Post printed that interview:
    *Bush: 'We Found' Banned Weapons*
President Cites Trailers in Iraq as Proof

    By Mike Allen
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Saturday, May 31, 2003; Page A01

KRAKOW, Poland, May 30 -- President Bush, citing two trailers that U.S.
intelligence agencies have said were probably used as mobile biological
weapons labs, said U.S. forces in Iraq have "found the weapons of mass
destruction" that were the United States' primary justification for
    going to war.

In remarks to Polish television at a time of mounting criticism at home
and abroad that the more than two-month-old weapons hunt is turning up
nothing, Bush said that claims of failure were "wrong." The remarks were
    released today.

"You remember when [Secretary of State] Colin Powell stood up in front
of the world, and he said Iraq has got laboratories, mobile labs to
build biological weapons," Bush said in an interview before leaving
today on a seven-day trip to Europe and the Middle East. "They're
illegal. They're against the United Nations resolutions, and we've so
    far discovered two.

"And we'll find more weapons as time goes on," Bush said. "But for those
who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned
weapons, they're wrong. We found them."

No our soldiers did not sign on for this kind of war. Nor should anyone send them in like they were sent, unequipped and not properly trained.

Who removed their military? Your "brilliant" historian did that. But there was never a plan to keep the peace.

As a result, we want the process to begin...Bring our troops home now. The Iraqi people have asked us to leave repeatedly, the msm refuses to report this. (look in previous posts)

Mr. Smith, you do not have the facts on your side, not today, not yesterday, not tomorrow.

For the sake of your country, please find out what the facts are.

I recommend "Best of Prissy" for reputable news links.
http://whatreallyhappened.com might appeal to your Libertarian side, should you have one...

It is clear you have never been in the military, what is holding you back?

  3. PS- "Many of these people were hired during that eight year atrocity known as the Clinton administration."

Many of the people who planned this war are pardoned left overs from the Iran-Contra affair-once again, the facts are simply not on your side...
